The use of machine learning algorithms to generate images by feeding it the work of real artists is unethical. Right now, art is being scraped without the consent of its creator and often without their knowledge, to be used without credit or compensation as training data for these algorithms. The current use case for this technology is a blatant attempt to devalue the labor of human artists. Artstation must do better to protect its artists by forbidding such automated imagery from being posted alongside work made by real humans.
